Faculty Fellows in Residence are live-in faculty members who help develop the living learning community in an NYU Residence Hall. Rubin is proud and thankful to have Heidi White and Mike Shenefelt working with us! Both Heidi and Mike are professors in the Liberal Studies Program and live on the 17th Floor of Rubin.
They host programs throughout the year, headlined by their three marquee rooftop terrace parties: one on move in day, Welcome to the Top of the World, and the annual Pumpkin Pie in the Sky! Heidi also hosts a bi weekly yoga series and does programs throughout the year encouraging residents to get out and try some amazing new experiences! Heidi has a doctorate in philosophy from the New School for Social Research and a master's degree in the history of ideas from the University of Texas at Dallas. She currently serves as the Liberal Studies Faculty Senator, and from 2010-2016, she served as the elected chair of the Politics, Rights, and Development concentration. |
